This piece is painted on a 16x20 canvas. I experimented with a broad range of colors and varied acrylic techniques to build depth, rich texture, and a dynamic sense of movement throughout the work. After studying a reference photograph of a fireplace and refining several preliminary sketches, I developed the arrangement further and arrived at the final composition I now call "Dark Fire."
